Claudia Sträter

Autumn Winter Collection 2008/2009

Comfort Silhouette

This autumn, Claudia Sträter has chosen an elegant silhouette rich in contrast and a luxurious, comfortable touch. Truly a collection for today’s multi-tasking contemporary woman who demands modern, representative clothing for every moment of the day; and above all for the woman who likes to add her own personal touch. After all, fashion is an individual style for her. The silhouette largely defines the fall fashion image, characterised by the subtle mix & match of proportions, fabrics, colours and textures. Bold with elegant, voluminous with fitted, shiny leather with soft wool. Together with accessories such as belts, big leather bags and ankle boots – with or without the crocodile print – this delivers an intriguing, always surprising style.

The collection

The dress is still number 1 this autumn, in various materials, from tight to loose fitting, from tricot dress to tunic. And the trouser is back from a break. Aside from the skinny pant, there is also an emphasis on the wide leg and high waist. The skirt follows suit, with variations in length and cut. Straight skirts alternate with slightly fuller skirts; others fan out elegantly from the hip. These essential pieces can be combined with soft vests, loose-fitting sweaters, blouses with high, laced-up collars or short jackets.

Techno Fabrics

The fabrics are not only comfortable, but also modern and refined. Merino wool, satin and a subtly shiny coating or lurex thread lend a sense of luxury. Special touches can be seen in the boiled wool of the jackets, the sewn-in pleats and the hand-knit look. Denim is still present.

Colour

Colour also plays an important role this season. Brighter shades liven up the many blacks, greys, purples and browns. Camel, cyclamen, raspberry and orange provide that sharp accent. Prints are subtle and graphic, with lots of checks, stripes and micro pied de poules. The so-called dipdye-effect can be seen on the fabrics, where the underside has been dipped in another colour.
