Femininity is the hallmark of the new Spring / Summer Collection from Gil Bret! Rarely before has so much emphasis been placed on
sophisticated cuts, minutely balanced colour harmonies and ingenious details as it has for this season. As a specialist in perfect
fit, Gil Bret uses every skill in unusual fabrics to create a modern interplay of contrasts.
The new Gil Bret look is sophisticated and feminine. Draped and folded fabrics and a passionate attention to detail, such as chains,
ribbons and lace, underline the high quality of the look. Important features include sheeny fabrics which give the feminine look a
sporty touch, such as a rock chick zipper jacket with upright collar that makes a perfect counterpart to a feminine, swinging satin
skirt with a graphic design. This season, Gil Bret shows far more fashionable fancy items, like a frock coat in contrasting black
and red, worn with a shirt with chain details and black denim washed jeans.
The feminine look, high-quality materials and new styles make it easy for the Gil Bret customer to integrate the new styles into
her wardrobe and update her look. Layering is used to underline the interplay with volume and combines narrow trousers in various
lengths with longer tops or new blouse shapes like tunics. Over this, we find shorter, boxy knitted garments or blazers, or new,
sporty jackets, such as blousons, right through to longer blazers.
Dresses are still an important theme and Gil Bret offers a wide variety including two-piece outfits and embroidered designs. The
light-coloured wrap-look jersey dress with a trendy circle print, for example, has fresh, summery style. Together with a light
knitted jacket in pale rosé with flirty crimping at the neckline and a shiny waist belt, this creates a delicate feminine look.
Skirts are to be found in every variation, skilfully emphasizing the feminine figure, as with the draped skirt in a wet-look fabric
worn with a sporty zipper jacket in taupe with rep details. Here we also see the effective interplay of matt and shiny finishes.
Gil Bret presents a wide selection of new prints, often graphic with dots and circles, or mille fleurs. Unusual animal prints are also
featured in viscose or chiffon, worn with tinted denim with gold or brass threads, reflecting the modern safari influence. Colour is
important this summer – but Gil Bret always combines colours with soothing natural shades, such as strong orange with stone grey or
lemon yellow with white and silver. Powerful cobalt blue adds a strong colour accent, as in the shimmering blazer with gathers, worn
with a long-sleeved shirt with panel prints in blue, white and black and the black slim-cut trousers in a techo fabric. The
combination of white and caramel creates a desire for summer too: light-coloured 3/4 trousers with a sophisticated seam design and
horizontal-striped fine knitted top in the current layered look are perfectly complemented by a lightweight trench coat in light
stone with extravagant smocked sleeves.
